The vision behind Sequences Chamber Music is two-fold: to explore how mathematical and/or musical sequences can shape live performance - not only the selection of the music, but how we experience it; and to bring together great people in our diverse Bay Area ecosystem of musicians.

On March 7, 2026, in honor of International Women’s Day, 11 musicians showcased the brilliance of women composers across history, from Hildegard von Bingen to Fanny Hansel, Amy Beach, Mel Bonis, and Florence Price; and contemporary voices like Kaija Saariaho, Reena Esmail, and Wendy Loomis.
