Legato Cello Yoga

Join me for cello-enhanced yoga!

After practicing yoga for over 10 years (in the Ashtanga Vinyasa and Hatha Yoga styles), it was time to go deeper in my studies and explore how I could integrate my love of yoga with my artistry as a cellist. (Our body is our first instrument, after all). Following my “sankalpa” (intention and heart’s desire), I’ve become a certified teacher (RYT with Yoga Alliance). I created Legato Cello Yoga to offer guided Hatha Yoga flow classes and savasanas accompanied by soothing cello music (e.g. Marcello Savasana).

My non-living inspirations are Indra Devi, the “Mother of Yoga,” the first to bring yoga to China as Madame Chiang Kai-Shek’s teacher, and the late great violinist Yehudi Menuhin. Menuhin was a student of Indra Devi, and brought Indian master yoga teacher B.K.S. Iyengar to the West.

I received my teacher training from Richard Rosen, Annie Carpenter, Ann Dyer, Yoko Yoshikawa, Margi Young, Leslie Howard, Baxter Bell, and Jody Hahn. As I continue to practice, study, and cultivate a healthy body and mind, I am deeply grateful to my current and past teachers.
