Spring 2010 Cello Ensemble WorkshopMarch 8th - May 2nd, 2010For Intermediate - Advanced cellists(Scroll down to register).In this 8-week workshop, you'll learn effective practicing and performance techniques while addressing topics such as group intonation, tone quality, and performance anxiety. The workshop will culminate in a final concert for friends and family. Open to 8 participants. Music will include: the Bach chorales, Popper Requiem for cello ensemble, Telemann Canonic Sonatas, and other music TBD based on group consensus. Music will be mailed before the first rehearsal.Rehearsals: Monday evenings, March 8th - April 26th, 2010, 7:30 - 9:30 pm. (Note: there will be no rehearsal on Monday, April 5th, 2010). Final concert: Sunday, May 2nd, 2010, 2:30 pm All rehearsals and the final concert will take place at the San Francisco Musicians' Union: 116 9th St. (near Mission St.), San Francisco, CA. About Annie's Cello StudioAnnie's Cello Studio offers highly focused, fun, and rewarding instruction for all ages and levels of experience. Beginning students learn the fundamentals of cello playing and practice ear training, rhythmic exercise, music theory, and sight reading. More advanced students learn how to develop an easier technique and refine their sound. Both individual lessons and cello chamber group classes are available. |
